Our Story

The Sinyard Family

Buzy Bee Farm is a lifelong dream of owners Heather & Richard Sinyard. Heather has always been an animal lover and dreamed of the day she’d have property large enough to fill it with all kinds of animals. Thankfully Richard grew up in rural Alabama with a lot of days spent on family farms, so he was just as eager for the farm life again. Buzy Bee Farm became a reality in Spring of 2019 with 9+ acres, a few bee hives, and 2 dogs. Buzy Bee Farm continues to evolve into their dream space with farm animals, operating a cottage bakery with their youngest daughter, and now developing a cut flower farm. They continue to add animals and other facets of farm life that will hopefully usher in early retirement for both so that they can enjoy country farming and spending time with their family, especially their 5 wonderful grandchildren, Tanner, Alana, Emmett, Charlotte & Keaton.

Mother + Daughter =Tasty Goodness!

Heather comes from a long line of incredible cooks from both sides of her family. She has spent most of her adult life doing some kind of work in the food industry honing her skills by baking, catering, running a restaurant, competing in food sport and most recently acting as a content creator and manager for a food manufacturer.

Her youngest daughter, Aida, grew up in the middle of it all, so it’s no surprise she’s elbow deep in food too. After years of Aida helping mom, and gaining experience in a professional bakery herself, the two operate a successful boutique cottage bakery business together as part of farm life. They hope to one day have a bakery store front for Aida to take over when Heather is ready for retirement!
